Palestinian farmers sound alarm over foot-and-mouth outbreak
Thousands of cattle were killed earlier this year in an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in the West Bank
pushing Palestinian farmers already living under occupation to the brink of bankruptcy.
Mohammed Basheer said he had to burn hundreds of his dead
sheep after an epidemic damaged cattle across the West Bank
it will leave him with a greater financial loss.
For Basheer, the conflict is a unique challenge for farmers.
